GitHub is a popular online code repository. This makes sharing, collaborating, and downloading code simple, and is used by almost every serious programmer.
Sign up for GitHub hereI use Notepad++ as my primary way of writing HTML/CSS. It has integrated HTML/CSS support, and is otherwise a very simple, optimized, no-bells-and-whistles kind of IDE.
Notepad should be installed by default, but you can download it here in case it's not.
