Mercer BEAR Day hosted 50 poster presentations this year, with students from every discpline presenting their research. In the pictures above, one can see an example of a poster presentation. The group, consisting of Maggi Sledjeski, Ted Dorfeuille, Hannah Gulle, and Lauren Fowler, presented a fascinating poster about Efficient and Accurate Numerical Gradient Calculations. A quote from one Ted Dorfeuille claims that the research "[research] was wild". Also seen in the photos is a portion of Dr. Pound's Research group for the Spring 2018 Semester.

At 9 AM on a Friday morning, I had the pleasure of attending Adam Landin's presntation on his engineering club project "Waffle Buddy Waffle Cutter". Paper presentations are another oppertuninty for Mercer Students to show off their research. Adam's presentation was full of interesting data about demographics and surveys he did in order to gague the interest in his product. A quote from Landin, in response to a question asking him of his waffe eating frequency, "I eat them every day". Landin is competeting in the Mercer's Next Big Idea Competition.
